Q: Are you accepting new patients right now?
A: Yes, physical therapy is deemed an essential business under the State of Michigan Executive Order.

Q. How do I schedule a TeleRehabilitation virtual visit with a physical therapist?
A: Call the office at 888-396-2642 between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to schedule an appointment. Or you can request an appointment using the online form click here.

Q. Does my insurance cover the TeleRehabilitation virtual visits?
A: Most insurance companies have relaxed their regulations and now cover this service. An insurance verification will be completed before your first appointment.

Q. Do I need a physician prescription for physical therapy?
A: Yes, you need a physician prescription. If you do not have a prescription, we will work with your primary care physician to obtain a prescription.

Q. Will my TeleRehabilitation virtual visit be with a physical therapist?
A: Yes, each visit will be with a physical therapist. When the time is right to come into the clinic for treatment, you will be scheduled with a physical therapist and/or a physical therapist assistant.

Q. What should I expect during the TeleRehabilitation virtual visit?
A: The physical therapist will ask you questions about the history of your injury as well as ask you to move in certain ways. The physical therapist will decide how to best support you in addressing your needs and goals. Please dress in comfortable clothing that you can easily move around in.

Q. Will my TeleRehabilitation virtual visit be private?
A: Yes, we are using Zoom software which is HIPAA compliant, all audio, video and screen sharing data is encrypted to protect your identity. Being in a quiet and private area of your home is suggested with plenty of space to move around. It is not safe to have your TeleRehabilitation visit while driving or in your car.

Q. What type of technology or equipment do I need for a TeleRehabilitation virtual visit?
A: You will need to download the Zoom application on your computer, iPad, or smartphone. The system you use must have a camera, microphone and speakers for two way communication. It’s best to use your preferred browser (we recommend Google Chrome) and you will be given a secure meeting ID number and password to join the meeting. Staff will be able to assist you with this process.

Q. How long will I be with my physical therapist?
A: Most visits require up to 45 minutes of your time.

Q. How many times a week will I have a TeleRehabilitation virtual visit?
A: It depends on what your doctor and physical therapist recommends, but usually 2 to 3 times a week.

Q. Can I still schedule an appointment with my physical therapist in the office?
A: Yes, we follow and exceed CDC guidelines for safety and cleanliness, along with following the State of Michigan’s physical distancing requirements. Our staff will guide you about how you should arrive in the office.
